One Solution Equations
One Solution Equation is when an equation has only one solution. This means that when you solve an equation, the variable can only be subsituted by ONE number to make an equation true.
One Solution Equation Example #1:20x+49-2x=49-10x+2x
Step 1: You have to pair like terms. 20x-2x+49=49-10x+2x Step 2: Solve the like terms next. 18x+49=49-8x Step 3: Do the inverse of 8 to both sides. 18x+=49-8x +8x +8 26x+49=49 Step 4: Do the inverse of 49 to both sides. -49 -49 Step 5: Divide 26 from both sides. 26x=0 x=0 |
One Solution Equation Example #2:7x+82=4x-20+2x
7x+82=4x+2x-20 7x+82=6x-20 -6x -6x x+82=-20 +20 +20 x=102 |
